The Stanwick Hotel: Perfect Venue for a Sunny Family Day with Magic

On the bright and blisteringly hot 28th of June, I had the pleasure of performing close-up magic at The Stanwick Hotel in Wellingborough for a lively Family Fun Day. The vibe was all about chill, good vibes, and enjoying the summer sunshine, with guests sipping from the bar and soaking up the welcoming atmosphere.

This venue truly stands out thanks to its lovely outdoor space, featuring a versatile garden and courtyard that cater perfectly to outdoor events. Whether in the sun or shaded areas, the open-plan layout offers plenty of space for guests to mingle comfortably. Inside, the air-conditioned restaurant area ensures refreshment and comfort, even on the hottest days.

Staff members like Kirsty were incredibly helpful, providing early access and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Easy to find with a welcoming entrance and helpful staff, The Stanwick Hotel is an excellent choice for relaxed, high-spirited gatherings.

Highlights from the Day

The crowd was fantastic, and the atmosphere was vibrant. My highlight was performing the calculator trick—an audience favourite always. A truly memorable moment was when a couple was so impressed that they rang their brother and invited him along with his partner just to watch the magic. That’s the kind of standout moment that makes events special.

Although I didn't indulge in the food (the guests were definitely enjoying theirs), the venue's catering options seemed top-notch. No challenges to report, except for a kid dropping a yoghurt on my shoe—proof that even in the best venues, surprises happen! Luckily, having a spare pair of shoes in the car proved a wise move and kept my performance stress-free.
