I'm thrilled to share the wonderful experience I had performing at the wedding of Andreas & Moira at the stunning Furtho Manor Farm, situated on Northampton Road in Old Stratford, Milton Keynes. This venue is renowned for its unique barn style and open-plan design, providing the perfect backdrop for a laid-back yet elegant celebration. With its spacious dancefloor, beautiful garden, courtyard, and excellent lighting, Furtho Manor Farm offers an idyllic setting for both day and evening events.
The 150 guests in attendance created a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a mix of daytime chill and vibrant party vibes. The helpful staff members, including Linda the venue owner and Molly behind the bar, made sure everything ran smoothly, from early access to the evening festivities. The venue's good roads, lots of parking, and clear signage made it an easy location for guests to find and settle into their celebrations.
Captivating Guests with Magic
During my half-day magic and hosting session, the highlight was undoubtedly the card vanish trick, which sent guests into a frenzy of amazement. I love seeing such reactions, especially when guests are genuinely blown away by the magic, as two male guests were during this particular performance. Their reactions—absolute disbelief and amazement—added an extra layer of fun and unforgettable moments to the day.
The venue's spacious design allowed me to perform my dynamic routines seamlessly, with plenty of room for magical interactions and audience participation. The open barn space and the beautiful outdoor areas also provided a fantastic setting for capturing incredible photos and lasting memories of the day.
Personal Touches & Memorable Moments
The couple's entrance was a moment to remember; they walked into Engelbert Humperdinck's "I Love You Baby," which set a romantic and heartfelt tone for the ceremony. Such personal touches made the day even more special and unique to Andreas and Moira.
Later in the evening, I enjoyed some delicious pizza, which was a nice treat after entertaining the lovely guests. The combination of great food, excellent venue features, and high-energy entertainment made this wedding a truly memorable event for everyone involved.
